Since we get asked all the time where are your favorite venues in San Diego we thought we would put together a blog post. Here are some of our favorite wedding’s we have shot at these special wedding venues in San Diego Ca. We also included a brief description why we like photographing at them. This gorgeous hotel is in inland of the coast in Del Mar. It is such an elegant and luxurious hotel. Every where you walk is stunning backdrops to create dramatic photos. We loved how this bridal Party’s attire really fit the feel of the resort.

La Costa is probably one of our favorite resorts to have a stay-cation at. And so we know this hotel like the back of our hand. This spanish style resort is so elegant. There are lots of pretty stairwells with the most elegant tile, gorgeous walk ways lined with palm trees, and the ceremony site over looks the stunning golf course.

This venue is a photographers dream venue. So many amazing places to take wedding portaits. This stunning gate shipped over from Europe is the entrance to the wedding ceremony site that is nestled in the trees by a gorgeous golf course.

This is a stunning resort for a luxury high end wedding. Set in Rancho Santa Fe the spanish style hotel is elegant and classic. We love photographing at this property.

The El Cortez is right downtown in San Diego. It has a spanish style to it and an elegant ballroom to hold receptions. Out of town guests will love staying downtown and celebrating at this unique and historic venue.

The Darlington House is in the heart of La Jolla. It is so great for vintage weddings. The cutest house now turned into a wedding venue makes for a perfect all inclusive wedding venue. We love this stairwell for stunning and dramatic photos.

Wow the Bernardo Winery where do we start. Honestly everywhere you walk any time of the day has perfect places to take wedding photos. We particularly love the barrel room. It is dark and dreamy. The whole venue is perfect for a vintage chic style wedding.

La Valencia is a perfect La Jolla Wedding Venue. This resort is so historic and what you expect of La Jolla. The ballroom is so elegant. It is walking distance to La Jolla Cove which makes for amazing photos with the photographic ocean and cliffs.

The Prado is in the heart of Balboa Park. If you have been to Balboa Park you know how perfect it is for photos. There are endless possibilities of where to take photos. The buildings are gorgeous and there is so much history there too. One of our favorite secret spots is the tree roots. How cool is this photo below. If this was Bruce and I, we would have this photo as a huge canvas in our home. I hope this couple did the same for their home?

Scripps Seaside Forum is our favorite beach wedding venue. It is right on top of the bluff of the famous Scripps Pier. The building is modern and contemporary. The sunset views are stunning. I do have to say when couples are open to getting their feet a bit wet, the photos under the pier are breath taking.

Madera’s Golf Club is in Poway, Ca. This is such a perfect golf course wedding venue to have a all inclusive wedding. The ceremony site looks out to the valley of gorgeous homes and hills, the ballroom is elegant, and the golf course provides endless photo opportunities.

The Hotel Del Coronado is probably the most famous hotel in San Diego. Out of town guests will be amazed at the hotel that is so recognizable. It is right on the beach of Coronado. These beaches are some of the most stunning San Diego beaches. You can have your ceremony on the hotel grounds or on the sand at the beach. We have seen them both ways and both are just as stunning.

The Grand Tradition Estate is a perfect venue to have an all inclusive wedding. It feels like you are in Hawaii but you are really in Fallbrook, CA. You will not be disappointed with the venue and the staff. They know the wedding business better than anyone and will create the wedding of your dreams here. From our side as photographers, honestly everywhere you walk is a photo opportunity.

The Lodge at Torrey Pines is such a luxury, high end wedding venue. It is stunning! The grounds are green and like the name, with a lodgey feel. Is that a word? The ceremony over looks the gorgeous golf courses. The golf course is located on the cliffs over looking the ocean. So the sunsets are just spectacular.

This is a hidden gem. I didn’t even know that this private club did weddings. We were blown away by the club, the ceremony site and the stunning landscape. This is an amazing venue to have a ceremony and reception all in the same venue with the beauty and luxury all tied into one.

Morgan Run is such a gorgeous resort right in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe. The ceremony site over looks the beautiful golf course. One of the amazing things about this venue is they let you take a golf cart on the course to get some great photos around the venue. So many golf courses have strict rules even after hours.

What an amazing hotel right in downtown. It is the perfect mix of being across the street from the gaslamp district and on the backside of the hotel the marina. Out of town guests will love it. Bride and Grooms will love the rooftop ceremony site overlooking the bay and Coronado.
