Carlsbad Beach Wedding Photos at South Ponto Beach.
When we met Annie & Jayme, we were so excited to hear they were holding their ceremony and reception in the sand at South Ponto Beach. Ponto beach is our go-to family beach. It is also where I love shooting sunset photo shoots. Needless to say, I know it like the back of my hand! Plus it is a five minute drive from our house so we didn’t even have to deal with weekend freeway traffic!
The day was smooth and stunning! We started with the first look and bridal party photos at the elegant Omni La Costa Resort. I love this resort so much. It is a photographer’s dream hotel. I was also excited to break up all the beach photos with some other types of photos. But after a bit at La Costa we were off to Ponto Beach. We were able to do some fun photos with the bride and groom and bridal party on the sand before the ceremony. This way after the ceremony, the cutest couple could relax and be a part of their cocktail hour.
The ceremony was on the bluff overlooking the ocean with a dramatic entrance from the stairs. The reception was in the sand filled with amazing music from the awesome DJ. The food was perfect! Mexican street tacos, margaritas, beer and wine. The most amazing part to me was that there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. We have had a month or more of May grey! We haven’t had a sunset in a long time. Well this night we did and wow it was perfect for Annie and Jayme! They are the cutest couple filled with so much love. I can tell Jayme will keep Annie laughing for the rest of their lives! And that is in my opinion one of the keys to an awesome relationship! I know Bruce definitely does that for me! ;)
